After a scheduled flight form Johannesburg Airport to Victoria Falls, you will experience the majesty of the Victoria Falls, staying at the world famous Victoria Falls Hotel, which has welcomed distinguished guests from throughout the World for over a hundred years.
The Hotel, which is only a short distance from the Victoria-Falls-Destination-Information-Zambia themselves, is the epitome of ‘old world’ luxury and service. You will be accommodated in deluxe rooms whilst at the Hotel.
During your stay at Victoria Falls, you have extensive opportunities to explore Victoria-Falls-Destination-Information-Zambia. The more adventurous can partake in white water rafting, bungi jumping or even surfing the rapids. However less adventurous tastes for adventure may prefer the ‘Flight of the Angels’ as the best option to view the Falls.
After two nights at the Victoria Falls Hotel you transfer by road, by private air-conditioned car to The Chobe National Park – famous for its huge herds of elephant. Your stay is at the beautiful Chobe-Chilwero-Botswana, which borders the Chobe National Park.
The Lodge overlooks the Chobe River and floodplains, and you enjoy game drives in the Park, and cruises on the river.
After two nights at Chobe-Chilwero-Botswana you take a short road journey to Kasane Airport where you will board a light aircraft, flying over the spectacular Okavango Delta to Delta Camp (a flight time of 1hr 20mins).
Delta-Camp-Botswana is one of the original luxury lodges built in Africa, and is frequented by the cognoscenti wishing to get as close to nature as possible without compromising on comfort.
Overlooking the Boro, one of the main waterways of the Okavango-Delta-Botswana, Delta Camp is imaginatively built from locally-sourced natural materials. Your private ‘reed’ bungalow has the “most comfortable beds in Africa” – (at least according to our many guests who have raved about Delta Camp), electric lights, showers with continuous hot water, and flushing toilet. It is hard to imagine surrounded by this comfort that you are in fact 65Km into the bush!
Your safaris from Delta-Camp-Botswana will be the most interesting during your holiday. You will explore the intricate and stunningly beautiful waterways of the Okavango Delta by mokoro, a dug out canoe poled by your personal Guide. This is a truly magical experience, allowing you to view the abundant bird-life at very close range. Floating through beds of water-lilies, watching antelope, zebra, giraffe and perhaps the occasional cheetah, your memories of Delta Camp will remain with you for ever.
Walking Safaris are also featured at Delta-Camp-Botswana. Even the most satiated safari-goers will tell you that tracking and viewing wildlife on foot is ‘the only way to go!’ Accompanied by your personal experienced and qualified Guide, you will, in all safety and security, become part of the African landscape.
Your second night at Delta Camp will be spent in the ‘bush’. Accompanied by a team of your personal Guides who will build your campsite, set up hot water shower and sit down loo. You will relive that wonderful scene from the film ‘Out of Africa’, being served a sumptuous candle-lit dinner, accompanied by fine wines, under the canopy of an African sky.
From your three night stay at Delta Camp, you will fly back to Maun to connect with a light aircraft flight into the Kalahari Desert and Jack’s-Camp-Botswana.
This is a classic safari camp in a stunning desert location. The camp stands in a palm grove, oasis-like in the starkness of the desert.
The camp has eight large traditional tents each is equipped with canvas and wooden basins, copper water jugs and paraffin lamps. Each has a private, “bathroom” of shower and flushing loo.
The Tea Tent has Persian carpets on the floor and large soft cushions. As the name implies, this is where afternoon tea is served – scones and homemade cakes. Other meals are either served under the shade of a giant acacia or in the Mess Tent. Dinner is served on a damask cloth with silver cutlery and sparkling candles, during cool evening’s hot coals are placed under your chair to ensure your comfort – this is a typical example of the outstanding service you can expect at Jack’s Camp.
Your Safaris will be by 4×4 and four wheeled ‘quad’ motor cycles, enabling you to explore the vast expanse of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans.
After two nights at Jack’s Camp you will return to Maun to connect with an Air Botswana flight to Johannesburg, arriving around 18.30. A short transfer to The D`Oreale Grande, without a doubt Johannesburg Airport’s most exclusive five-star hotel, and a relaxing evening before flying out to Mozambique the following morning.
Arriving at Vilanculos on the mainland coast, you will be met at the Airport , for your short charter flight to the Falcon of Benguerra
Benguerra is part of the Bazaruto Archipelago Nature Reserve, and is truly the pristine tropical Falcon of our dreams. Benguerra-Lodge-Bazaruto is situated right on the beautiful white coral beach. After four relaxing nights on Benguerra you will return to Vilanculos for the flight back to Johannesburg.
